Leader of Men Who Care in Manistee

A few days ago I met Al Frye, the lead organizer and chair of Men Who Care in Manistee. Al said, “One of the gems of this group is that it doesn’t really exist. It’s just a group of like-minded guys who get together once every three months to do some good.” At their quarterly meetings 100 men review, pitch, vote on and donate $100 each to a local charity. They’ve donated A LOT of money since 2015 without having to host one bake sale. I was pleased to produce his story for Interlochen Public Radio’s volunteer series. Take a listen HERE.
