The Volunteers: Brian Allen

New year. New volunteer stories. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to meet such interesting people and to hear/produce their stories for The Volunteers series at Interlochen Public Radio. Brian Allen of Manistee kicks of the 2025 series. He’s always a delight to talk to. A regional birding expert and an eBird reviewer for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Brian evaluates unusual observations in northwest Michigan, communicates with eBird users, and helps to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the eBird database for science and conservation.
