The Volunteers: Martha Lancaster

A series for Interlochen Public Radio

Several years ago Martha Lancaster was invited to volunteer in the Try It Tuesday program in the Petoskey Public Schools. The innovative program initially began as a partnership with the Petoskey Public Schools, the Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities, and the Health Department of Northwest Michigan. It continues as a way to introduce elementary-aged students to local foods and sustainable farming practices. I had the opportunity to produce Martha’s story for The Volunteers series at Interlochen Public Radio. Take a listen HERE.
